The Journal of International Money and Finance will publish a special issue with papers presented at the conference. The selected papers will be presented during the conference in special JIMF Sessions. Papers focusing on the planned JIMF Sessions will be considered for this special issue. The topic of the special issue is “International Aspects of Economic and Policy Fragility”. Economic fragility refers to situations where even modest shocks, for example, a shock to international capital movements, can derail the economy. Policy fragility refers to situations where the effective use of standard policy tools is hindered. For instance, a large debt to GDP ratio or a fragile banking system leave little room for fiscal policy. The special issue of the Journal of International Money and Finance will consist of papers that deal with international monetary, financial, and macro aspects of economic and policy fragility. Only papers of high quality will be considered.
